My Life - Smith Rock

This summer has been a season packed with photography, my perfect dream. It has been a nice mix of photo shoots and adventure trips with my husband. Here's photographs from Smith Rock, Oregon last month. 

The area had a large forest fire close by, adding this beautiful softness to the midday light. 

Smith Rock reminds me of the Anasazi ruins in the Southwest. The trail stops at many excellent climbing routes. 

While my husband climbed, I explored along Misery Ridge Trail. Our dog spotted a marmot with a mouthful of grass. I love the stripe over the marmot's nose. 

Monkey Face is one of Smith Rock's iconic climbs. Jason climbed Monkey Face one day, and on our other day visiting did some single pitch climbs.
