My Bainbridge Favorite

One of my favorite stops on Bainbridge Island, even years before I moved here, is Blackbird Bakery. I have strong memories surrounding food. One such memory I took a solo visit to Bainbridge on a day off from work. I remember sitting next to Eagle Harbor reading a book while taking bites of a delicious applesauce chocolate cake slice. An even stronger memory from that day was bringing a sweet something to my new boyfriend. Back in Seattle we slowly took turns taking bites of Blackbird's Mile High Chocolate Cake. That boyfriend is now my husband. These days we make regular trips to Blackbird, only a few minute walk from our home. Here's several photographs of their blissful goodness.
