Wardrobe Inspiration from Nature: Northwest greens

Today's wardrobe inspiration from nature is going to be very northwestern. Moss! Where I live, moss is everywhere: cracks in the sidewalks, pushing out the grass, and homeowners commonly have to hire experts to remove moss from their roofing. I love how it adds a fluorescent glow, even if it isn't always wanted.

Accessories are great to quickly change a look. I recommend bringing a few extra pieces such as scarves, jewelry and hats. One tip with hats, a smaller brim is easier to photograph. If one person is wearing a large brimmed hat (such as a baseball hat), that one person will have a large shadow over their face in comparison to everyone else.

Here's where the clothing pieces came from:

For the lady: Striped Shirtdress from the Gap, Classic Leather Ballet Flat from the Gap, and Sabine Multi Statement Earring from Piperlime

For the gentleman: Antigua Cove Half-Zip Sweatshirt, The Emfielder Polo, and Suede Ivy Cap all from Tommy Bahama

For the little girl: Floral Military T-shirt Dress from the Gap, Floral Ruffle Head from the Gap and Girls the Rockstar Off-white Jeggings from Old Navy

For the little boy: Boys’ Cotton-cashmere half-zip sweater, Kids’ Happyeti Moose Hat, and Kids’ Suede MacAlister Boots, all from J.Crew
